Heartstopper fans ecstatic as Netflix show gets renewed for two more seasons: ‘Another Victory for Gays’

Netflix series heart stopper was renewed for seasons two and three.
The first season of the popular teen romantic drama, based on Alice Oseman’s books of the same name, was released on the streaming platform in April.
It tells the story of shy Charlie (Joe Locke) and popular rugby player Nick (Kit Connor) who begin a friendship that has the potential to grow into more.
Since its launch, it has garnered fans around the world and praise for its positive portrayal of young LGBTQ+ experiences without trauma.
On Friday (May 20), Netflix announced that the show had been renewed, with seasons two and three planned for the future.
“For those who have fallen in love with Nick & Charlie, cried as they watched Alice Oseman’s magical tale come to life, or felt represented on screen for the first time, I am pleased to announce… heart stopper has been extended for TWO MORE SEASONS!” reads a message from the streamer official twitter account.
In response, fans and cast members responded enthusiastically on social media.

Locke shared memes from images from the show with the caption, “What was that? Not just one, but TWO more seasons???” In a later tweet, he said he was “crying” at the good news.
Yasmin Finney, who plays Elle and was recently cast as Rose’s companion Doctor WhoShe shared her excitement with a tweet that read, “AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YALL I-.”
Elsewhere, supporters of the show have celebrated the good news. “Nobody touch me, I’m crying,” tweeted an emotional viewer.
“OMG you just made me the happiest man alive,” one fan wrote, while another explained the confirmation for more heart stopper Follow “another victory for the gays”.
