But promoters Eddie Hearn insists reports the pair are set for a dust cloud in the desert on July 23 are premature.

When asked if the rematch should land in Saudi Arabia, the Matchroom Boxing boss said iFL TV: “Not true, it is discussed.

“I had a call today from a journalist who said, ‘I saw a journalist break a signed contract for that date.’ It is not.

“No formal contracts have been made. Yes that is a date under consideration and an offer that has been made.

“We have various other websites, various other offers. Obviously, this is a financial split – this deal – with Usyk.

“So team Usyk and Alex Krassyuk and these guys are involved in these conversations.

“You will also want to go to the most lucrative site.”

Joshua32, was turned around by Usyk in their Tottenham bout last September and lost control of the WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO heavyweight titles.

Hearn wants the rematch to take place in London but admits Usyk vs Joshua episode two will likely go to the highest bidder.

He continued: “We would like to have the fight in London. We also appreciate that there’s a lot more money to fight elsewhere.

“We will make a joint decision in the next two weeks and we are reviewing all the contracts and offers that have been made for the fight from the different sites.”

Hearn wants Joshua to make two appearances this year and insists that can only be done if he faces Usyk before the end of July.

He said: “It looks likely to fall in July. It is very important [that] AJ fights at least twice this year.

“And that’s only going to happen if we have a fight in June or July. So that’s the absolute limit.

“I think July 23rd was mentioned, that will be the last date to make sure he can fight again in December.”

He added: “Two weeks to an announcement. And like I said, everything is being finalized now.

“All offers are being reviewed, all contracts are being reviewed and we will make an announcement in due course.”
