SUPERHERO fans will no doubt remember the classic 1987 Masters of the Universe.
It stars Swedish actor Dolph Lundgren as He-Man, who happens to come to Earth from the planet Eternia.
The muscular hero finds himself on an important mission to save the universe from the evil Skeletor, played by screen legend Frank Langella.
Directed by Gary Goddard, Masters of the Universe was actually a bit of a flop, with Variety calling it “a giant flaw” and the Los Angeles Times as “a false, incompetent epic.”
Even so, fans agree that the film has its own unique appeal, packed to the very end with fun action-packed comedy and fun.
Forward to 2022 and Dolph is a trillion light-years away from the ripped-off land he portrays in the movie.
Now 62 years old, the handsome star has yet to lose his toned cheeks or signature blonde hair, but the years have definitely changed him.
His sword days wearing just a pair of tight leather pants and a gold shoulder pad paved the way for a smarter age in tailored suits.
Dolph avoided disappearing into the shadows like many other ’80s and ’90s actors, even though he did a lot of direct-to-video content that day.
He’s in big-name production now, having recently played King Nereus in Aquaman and reprising the role in the upcoming sequel Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
Fans have also seen him appear in series such as It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Creed II, Arrow and The Expendables.
The Stockholm-born actor has two daughters with ex-wife Anette Qviberg, Ida Sigrid Lundgren, 26, and Greta Eveline Lundgren, 21.
