HBO series creators react as shows are summarily removed from HBO Max

Those looking to rewatch multiple HBO shows have been stunned by the news that they are being removed from the service where they are available.

On Monday (December 12), it was announced that HBO Max would be removing several titles from its service.

The decision, led by the service’s owner Warner Bros Discovery, followed announcements that every show had also been cancelled.

“The Nevers” was canceled by HBO


The news follows the controversy surrounding the original HBO Max film bat girlwhich was discontinued despite completion in August.

It was claimed that the film was set to hit theaters despite being made for HBO Max but was considered “uncollectible” in the eyes of studio bosses.

This followed reports that the film had gone over budget by more than $40 million.
