HBO has paused the release of Larry David’s documentary The Story of Larry David according to its own request.
New two-part documentary about Curb your enthusiasm The actor is scheduled to premiere on HBO on Tuesday night (March 1).
However, on Monday, February 28, HBO Documentaries shared a tweet announcing that the premiere would be postponed, writing: “Larry has decided he wants to do it in front of an audience.”
HBO representatives had no comment other than to tweet, and it’s unclear when the live event will take place.
The documentary’s official diary says The Story of Larry David “Sees the 74-year-old sit down with friend/director Larry Charles to see through the veil of maxim, as David candidly talks about his personal and professional ups and downs, from his humble beginnings as a teenager. An unruly Brooklyn kid who becomes a favorite in America goes wrong.
“Between contemplating his bumpy road to success – and the hit series Seinfeld and Curb your enthusiasm – David shares his thoughts on everything from metaphysics to parenting.
A trailer for the film shows David and Charles conversations about David’s career and his reflection on his success in the comedy business. The trailer was originally released on YouTube and has since been made private.
David has been with HBO for over 20 years, of which he has produced 11 seasons Curb your enthusiasm and the movie Clear history.
