Harry Potter star calls Jeremy Clarkson a ‘rancid old thug’ after Socialist comment

Harry Potter actor Sean Biggerstaff has branded Jeremy Clarkson a “rancid old bat” after the big tour Moderator made a comment about “socialists”.

On Friday (September 9), Clarkson tweeted, “Twitter is a handy and constant reminder that socialists are nasty people.”

The post drew criticism from many users of the social media site, including Biggerstaff, the actor best known for playing Oliver Wood in three films from the Harry Potter franchise.

“Shut up you rancid old thug,” Biggerstaff wrote in response to Clarkson’s post.

Clarkson is best known as the presenter of the BBC car series top gearfrom which he departed in 2015 following allegations that he assaulted one of the show’s producers.

His tweet apparently referred to reactions to the death of Queen Elizabeth II among left-wing Republicans.

Biggerstaff wasn’t the only voice condemning Clarkson’s comment – others also shared their objections to his comment in the replies.

“You complained a little earlier [an] awkward post here. Now join them,” one person wrote. “Regardless of people’s other posts, it doesn’t seem very sensible or kind to join the worst of them. It smells like hypocrisy.”

Another wrote, “What’s disgusting is caring more about aristocratic courtesy than the well-being of those around you…that’s a Class 1 bump treat, dude.”

“Longtime fan and supporter of yours,” wrote another. “Defended you in front of family, friends and colleagues. Bought the books, watched the shows — the whole lot — and all the while you really are the w***** Family, friends and co-workers tell me you are.”
