Harry Potter fans are concerned as Hogwarts Legacy has all but disappeared

Hogwarts Legacy, the single-player role-playing game developed by Avalanche Software, has had a lack of updates throughout its development cycle, leaving many Harry Potter fans with little hope of a 2022 release.

Harry Potter lovers were completely smitten when Hogwarts Legacy was announced back in September 2020.

It brought everything they were looking for: a massive role-playing game, set in Hogwarts, where players can choose their own Hogwarts house and make decisions that will shape the story.

There have been no updates on its development since the game’s reveal trailer was released almost two years ago, which has worried some fans.

Harry Potter fans worry about Hogwarts’ legacy

The last update fans received came back in January 2021 when the Studio announced the title had been postponed to 2022.

Since then, the game’s official Twitter page hasn’t received any updates, and fans are increasingly believing that the RPG won’t launch in 2022 after all.

One fan has created an entire account busy counting the days since the trailer was released, which has now totaled over 540 days.

Harry Potter enthusiasts had thought Sony’s March 9th State of Play would bring news about Hogwarts Legacy, but were disappointed when the event came and went with no new information.

Hogwarts legacy not shown on the Sony State of Play. 568 days since the first trailer for the game. Children cry,” wrote one fan.

Since then, fans have also been worried about the role-playing game Developer Troy Leavitt resigned in March 2021 by Avalanche Software after discovering his reactionary YouTube channel.

Combine all of this and we might be waiting a while to be wizards.
