The developers of Halo Infinite have announced that they are overhauling the current ranked play system as well as hard resetting everyone’s Competitive Skill Ratings to balance out talent levels.
When Halo Infinite was released, players were excited to learn that there was a ranking ladder with visible ELO (Competitive Skills Assessment), and skill divisions.
However, the community found it fairly easy to get to the top, Onyx and slam the system because they will lose too many points and gain nothing for the victory.
Fortunately, 343 Industries listened to complaints as the team unveiled a major quality of life update for the mode featuring a CSR rework.

In a tweet on February 16, officially Halo account announcement they have been monitoring player ratings in the mode and will adjust accordingly.
They say start from February 22, year they will “roll out updates to our current system and reset the CSR rating.”
The biggest thing they mentioned is that the current system is placing players too high. So they will try to reset everyone’s CSR to help get people into their right level.
Halo is also making it that you will earn more skill rating after each match. They believed that this would make it easier for Sparta to pass each division.
In the current system you can only set as high as Diamond 1. However, the best of the best will be able to set at Diamond 5 when this update is released.
This is one of the most requested things in the Halo Infinite community. The team hopes that this will bring players back to the game and they can enjoy the ranked match.
