Halo Infinite players won over the Battle Royale mode, which comes after the developers explain

A recent Halo Infinite developer statement has convinced fans that a battle royale mode could be in production as the game looks to invite more players to its services.

Certain Affinity said they would be working more closely with 343 Industries on the development of Infinite. It’s unclear what the studio will be focusing on, but the timing of the announcement couldn’t be more suspicious to fans of the series.

“We have been a part of the Halo franchise for more than 15 years and are honored to say that we are deepening our relationship with 343 and have been tasked with advancing Halo Infinite in some new and exciting ways,” said Certain Affinity.

Language is unclear as to whether 343 will remain the game’s lead developer, but it’s apparent that CA is preparing to make Halo Infinite a bigger priority at the studio.

This follows popular streamers and the larger Halo community, who are urging the developers to embark on a grand endeavor by implementing a battle royale mode.

Now people are taking this as writing on the wall of Halo’s upcoming battle royale to help Infinite win back its player base.

Maybe outsourcing Halo Infinite: Battle Royale?!” said one user. Meanwhile, another person added, “Battle Royale or a new big innovative mode maybe?”

Since Infinite’s massive launch in late 2021, the game’s active user base has dropped as calls for major updates and patch fixes have increased.

Halo Infinite fans are hoping that Certain Affinity will change the game for the better.

Player complaints range from Halo Infinite’s lack of multiplayer updates, widespread matchmaking bugs, its ranked mode, the game’s cosmetics, and more.

The belief is that this recruits 343 CA for a Halo Infinite battle royale, similar to how Raven Software runs on Call of Duty’s Warzone.
