Halo Infinite reinvigorated the franchise’s fandom when it launched on Xbox Series X|S and PC. That’s how many people are still playing in 2022.
The latest installment from 343 Industries in the legendary Halo franchise brought the Master Chief to the next generation and brought fans of console and PC together. In the run-up to launch, there was a lot of hype surrounding Infinite and players flocked to the servers.
But it hasn’t all been sunshine since the game’s release. Shortly after launch, Infinite struggled to keep up with player demands for much-needed fixes and changes – which 343 have been addressing in big strides.
That’s why some people are wondering how many players have been on Halo Infinite’s servers since its massive debut.
How many players does Halo Infinite have?
Halo Infinite’s player base has shrunk significantly since launch. The current The number of players is 6,072 from April 2022 acc Steam Charts.
These numbers reflect the title’s Steam community on PC, as Xbox’s parent company, Microsoft, hasn’t disclosed Xbox and Game Pass players.
In light of this, Infinite’s all-time high was 256,619 but has since fallen to around 8,122, according to the latest available dataset.
That’s a big drop from the hype that fueled the game’s reach on Twitch, YouTube, and more.
There’s a lot of ground to be made by 343 in its latest franchise entry, and they’re eager to figure out how to get players back into the matchmaking queues.
Halo Infinite Season 2 Lone Wolves could play a big part in that effort, introducing new maps, game modes, and tons of cosmetic items to earn.
It will be interesting to see if Infinite can win back fans who have been waiting for improvements to boost player counts later in 2022.
