Good morning Chelsea fans
La Liga leaders Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing Chelsea’s Reece James.
The Mirror report that James, 22, played against Real in the Champions League quarter-finals this month and Carlo Ancelotti is said to have been impressed.
Two Chelsea suitors are reportedly keeping a close eye on Paul Mitchell as they prepare to hire a new sporting director.
The post at Stamford Bridge has been vacant since Michael Emenalo left the club in 2017.
And Mancunian Mitchell, 40, is being pursued by at least two of the three parties still in the running to buy the Blues, The Athletic says.
Germany’s Thomas Tuchel has been looking forward to next month’s FA Cup final with Liverpool.
He said: “Obviously we lost a final to them when we gave it our all and it went right down to the very last penalty. We were unlucky and want to turn things around.
“We were here in the FA Cup final last season and we will be here again.
“It means so much to us because it’s the FA Cup, it’s prestigious, it’s the most storied trophy in the world and it’s played at Wembley, so there aren’t many bigger games to play in.
“We will be well prepared because we are playing against one of the strongest teams in the world who are in outstanding form. So it will be tough and we will try to make life difficult for them.”
