Gunman killed by State Trooper in Brazos County, investigators found 2 bodies on man’s property

BRAZOS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — A state police officer shot and killed a gunman and later found two bodies at the man’s property in southern Brazos County, authorities say.

Around 3:30 p.m. Thursday, MPs, along with a Texas DPS soldier, responded to a disturbance at Stokes Circle.

Upon arrival, officials said Randall Lee Isbell was found upon arrival with a gun and ignored orders to put the gun down, prompting a soldier to open fire.

The 51-year-old shooter was pronounced dead at the scene. No officers were reported injured.

The Brazos County SWAT team also responded to the scene.

Authorities began searching the property in hopes of finding and assisting injured victims.

Instead, investigators said they found two bodies, later identified as 51-year-old Daniel Rowe and his wife, 59-year-old Kelley Rowe.

The Brazos County Sheriff’s Office, the Brazos County Attorney’s Office and the Texas Rangers are investigating this ongoing case.
