GOPers blast Biden, Twitter for suppressing Hunter’s laptop story

Republicans took to Twitter Friday night for labeling the company’s “collusion” with members of the Biden administration following the company’s dodgy decision to censor The Post’s Hunter-Biden scoop.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy Kevin McCarthy, Sens. Rand Paul and Josh Hawley, and the Republican Representative’s official Twitter account called out the social media giant after Elon Musk shared the so-called “Twitter files” — and explained the company’s flawed rationale for blocking the October 2020 post.

“We learn in real time how Twitter conspired to silence the truth about Hunter Biden’s laptop just days before the 2020 presidential election.” McCarthy tweeted.

In the same tweet, McCarthy vowed that if House Republicans officially take majority control of the lower house, “the American people will get answers and the accountability they deserve.”

“This is what collusion looks like,” read a tweet from the House Republican Twitter account. Her tweet referenced revelations that “the Biden team” asked the company to delete a series after the Post published the Hunter Biden story.

“There you have it – Lawmakers are pushing Twitter for MORE censorship to advance their political agenda, First Amendment be damned,” wrote Josh Hawley.

Caitlyn Jenner released a series of tweets condemning the Biden administration and Twitter for suppressing The Post’s 2020 story on Hunter Biden’s laptop.

The social media company had labeled tweets sharing the story as “unsafe” and originally censored the information after some senior executives decided to label the story as “hacked material” without any evidence.

Senator Josh Hawley tweeted on Friday: “There you have it – Lawmakers are pushing @Twitter for MORE censorship to advance their political agenda, First Amendment be damned. You’re still at it. That’s why Dems love monopoly power.”

And Sen. Rand Paul urged everyone to read the damning details, which were released to Twitter by independent journalist Matt Taibbi on Friday night.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene shared a video of then-President Donald Trump calling Joe Biden a “criminal” over the revelations his son’s 2020 laptop revealed, and said the media was complicit in not knowing about Biden’s corruption reported.

“We know it was, and we knew it all along. And they did, which is why they broke laws to hide everything. But now the laptop is in our possession. You are criminals. Trump was right all along and will be confirmed.” said the Georgian politician.

Calling “Twittergate” an early Christmas present, Greene urged House Republicans to investigate possible interference in the 2020 election, claiming the information push has spread to other social platforms and media outlets beyond Twitter.

Caitlyn Jenner even joined the leagues of Republican leaders in condemning Twitter on Friday night.

“Big tech monopolies violating constitutional rights, arming against conservatives, and acting as a shield for the Biden family really tilted the election result in Biden’s favor. Insane! We demand accountability to these corrupt actors! Blame them!” said the former California gubernatorial candidate in a series of tweets condemning the scheme.

Jenner, who has consistently spoken out in support of Donald Trump, quipped that President Biden’s team resorted to “treachery” to win the 2020 election.

She also tweeted the hope that Elon Musk, who worked with independent journalist Matt Taibbi to release the “Twitter files,” was surrounded by massive security forces because he “became public enemy number one of some very, very bad people.” .

Trump’s press secretary Kayleigh McEnany took to Twitter the day after the birth of her second child to demand justification.

“I can explain to my daughter who @elonmusk is and how he fought for free speech for me and millions of others. #TwitterFiles”, mcenany wrote, referring to an October 2020 tweet in which she and her baby jointly delete a tweet.

Back then, McEnany had been suspended from her account in the weeks leading up to the election.

“One day I’ll explain to her what censorship is and why she had to unfairly delete Mom’s tweet to speak!” McEnany wrote at the time.

According to Musk, “episode two” of the Twitter files will be released on Saturday.
