Google reveals Jesy Nelson, Britney Spears and Adele among the most searched musicians of 2021

Google revealed the most searched musicians of 2021 today (December 8).

The search engine giant noticed that Britney Spears, former singer Little Mix Jessy Nelson and Adele are among the most searched musicians on their platform.

Spears has been in the news all year when her 13-year conservatorship came to an end, while Nelson’s solo career got off to a controversial start after she was accused of Blackfishing after the release of her debut solo single. Adele’s Great Return while she took fifth place on the list.

Travis Scott topped the list as the most searched musician after the tragedy at the Astroworld festival, where ten people were killed at the event in Texas. Joss Stone, who announced a recent comeback, came in second.

Others on the top ten list include Marilyn Manson, who made the news after a The sexual assault investigation is ongoing while R Kelly, the eighth most searched for celebrity, was found guilty on all counts at a sex trafficking and fraud trial earlier this year.

Elsewhere, the most searched lyrics were also shared, with Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face” topping the list, despite being released more than a decade ago. Adele’s “Easy on Me” was followed while Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline” came in at third after the song became the national anthem for British football fans during this year’s Euros.
