Good morning UK’s Alex Beresford ‘bedridden’ after contracting Covid

Good morning Brother Alex Beresford was ‘bedridden’ after contracting Covid-19.
The ITV star, 41, shared the news on social media and detailed his coronavirus symptoms with fans.
He wrote on Twitter: “In bed since last week with Covid. ‘Feels like a really bad flu.
‘I’ve been actively wearing a mask and washing my hands for the last few months because I’m working on projects that I just can’t let go, but I know I’ve been relaxing for the past 2 weeks and here I am!
‘I don’t want to imagine how much worse I would be without a vaccine.’
Fans were flooded with replies supporting him, calling for him to take a break.
One follower responded: ‘Get well soon Alex, this is a nasty virus and everyone just needs to follow basic safety measures to keep us all safe’.
‘I really don’t know why some are making a fuss about wearing masks and wearing masks etc. Hope you feel better soon xx [sic]. ‘
“Trust you will feel better than Alex soon, a warning to us that all this is far from over and we all have to be extremely careful,” another agreed.
‘Exactly the same experience. So grateful to the scientists and others involved in vaccine production, distribution and administration,’ said one Twitter user.
As one added: ‘Hope you feel better soon Alex sends quick recovery hugs x.’
Alex’s post comes after government guidelines were issued in the UK, after many cases of Omicron ‘super-variant’ discovered in England and Scotland.
In response to the surge, which is believed to be more infectious and less responsive to vaccines, Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced new mask and travel regulations, effective from tomorrow.
Face coverings will now be compulsory on public transport, in shops, hairdressers, banks and post offices – with those caught breaking the rules facing a £200 fine Brother.
Anyone who came in contact with an Omicron case will have to self-isolate for 10 days – even if they get stabbed in the double.
