Crew Two Chicks & A Hammer, Inc. have become like a family over the years good bones, and now fans are getting to know some of the other staff members better. Of course, viewers know the mother-daughter duo Karen E. Laine and Mina Starsiak, but other stars like construction coordinator Austin Aynes are also building their followers. Aynes works for Starsiak and Laine’s construction company, so he’s naturally become familiar to reality TV fans. He’s one of the few members of the crew that isn’t family, but he’s worked his way into their hearts over the years. He joined the company around the time filming started Good bones and has worked his way up to becoming a coordinator over time. Today, it’s hard to imagine the company succeeding without him, based on what we see on screen.
Like Starsiak and Laine, Aynes is on Instagram, though his account is mostly personal, without any of the self-promotion you might expect from a big celebrity. This gives Starsiak, Laine and Aynes the small-town aesthetic on which their show is based, proving to fans that they are true reality TV stars and not just mere stars. .

Like Starsiak and Laine, Aynes is a native of Indianapolis, Indiana, born and raised in the city they are working to revive. According to a report by Movie addict, Aynes attended Cardinal Ritter High School, and later Butler University in Indianapolis.
Aynes enrolled with the intention of becoming a physical therapist in college, but reportedly diverged from that path. The degree required a lot of calculation, which eventually pushed him into other areas of science. After earning his degree, he found himself working in a laboratory.
As noted above, Aynes is one of the few members not related by blood to Starsiak and Laine, but he has found his way in. Good bones through a family connection – his college friend Tad, Starsiak’s half-brother. Tad is said to have asked Aynes to join the demolition team to film the pilot episode of Good bones, and he agreed on a whim. It was the beginning of his journey to becoming a TV star.
Quit his day job
Aynes continued to work on Two Chicks and a Hammer as a “side job” after filming the movie Good bones and quickly found it took up more and more of his time. He became an integral part of the “bad boys”, and eventually took the leap and gave up his day job at the lab to work full-time. In the years that followed, Aynes was given the title of construction coordinator.
Another hobby that takes up a lot of Aynes’ social media space is sports – both playing and watching. Aynes often posts about his own recreational basketball games, and he watches professional ice hockey, soccer, and basketball. For Aynes, watching sports is clearly a social endeavor, as he is seemingly considered a “party legend” among sports fans.
Finally, Aynes has started to have a do-it-yourself mentality Good bones home with him, as evidenced in some of his side projects about Instagram. The construction worker now has a small garden, and has even enlisted colleagues to help him build his own yard outside of work in his spare time.
