Giada De Laurentiis’ Pancake Lasagna is set to become your favorite weeknight meal

If you thought lasagna couldn’t be done on a weekday, think again.
Food Network star Giada De Laurentiis’ Lasagna Pan is the easy, quick, and delicious way to have the classic casserole any day of the week without all the work.
The De Laurentiis pan lasagne is here for you
On her lifestyle and food blog Giadzy, De Laurentiis announces this easy twist on the popular Italian casserole.
“[W]hat if you could get [lasagna’s] gooey, cheesy, hearty goodness in less time than it takes to watch an episode of game of Thrones? This lasagna pan is for you,” she writes. Prepared in “a heatproof skillet that fits from stovetop to oven, … you’ll be shocked at how quickly it comes together.” Get ready to make lasagna for your weeknight dinner!”
Chef’s Easy Lasagna is quick and easy to make
With uncooked pasta, flavorful Italian sausage, spinach and three cheeses, De Laurentiis’ pan-fried wonder makes for a flavorful, hearty meal just as delicious as the original.
To start, the chef will combine ricotta cheese, spinach, and parmesan cheese in a bowl and set them aside. In an ovenproof skillet, she browns the ground beef, adds diced onions and garlic, and cooks until tender. Finally, tomato paste, tomato passata, dried oregano and water are stirred in.
Here it’s more like a lasagna: the Italian-American chef scoops out some of the meat mixture to make room for the casserole’s classic layered effect.
Break up the uncooked pasta to fit the pan and arrange in a single layer on top of the simmering sauce. Top with some of the reserved meat, followed by a layer of cheese mix and shredded mozzarella cheese. Repeat these layers, ending with more mozzarella.
Finish by baking in a 375 degree F oven for about 40 minutes.
