“Ghostbusters” star and Playboy Playmate Kymberly Herrin has died at the age of 65

Playboy Playmate and Ghostbusters actress Kymberly Herrin has died aged 65.
According to an obituary in the Santa Barbara News-Press, Herrin died peacefully on October 28 at her home in Santa Barbara, California.
Herrin’s niece, Theresa Ramirez, shared a photo of her aunt with her two sisters who died on Facebook and captioned it: “They are all together now. Aunt Kymberly Mistress. I love you.”
A model and actress, Herrin has appeared on several magazine covers and films, including her memorable role as Dream Ghost in 1984’s Ghostbusters – most notably in an infamously sensual scene with Dan Aykroyd’s character Ray Stantz.

Herrin – who also appeared in this year’s “Romancing the Stone” with Michael Douglas, Kathleen Turner and Danny DeVito – will also be remembered as one of a handful of models to star in the music video for ZZ Top’s hit “Legs.”
The model was featured on the cover of the September 1982 and September 1983 issues of Playboy. Herrin served as Playmate of the Month for Playboy’s March 1981 issue. She also played a playmate in the 1987 film Beverly Hills Cop II.
A cause of death was not disclosed, but the family requested donations to the American Cancer Society in Herrin’s honor “to advance research into the prevention and treatment of breast cancer.”
