Second accuser Annie Farmer took a stand

The fourth day of Ghislaine Maxwell’s sex-trafficking trial will begin on Thursday morning, and the 59-year-old social networking site’s second accuser is expected to take a stand.

Annie Farmer is the only one of the four Maxeell accusers who will testify without a pseudonym.

Ms Farmer, a 42-year-old psychotherapist, claims she was brought to Jeffrey Epstein’s ranch in New Mexico in 1996 at the age of 16, where she was groomed and had a sexual massage.

Ms. Farmer recounted the alleged abuse for the Netflix documentary Dirty rich, and in numerous interviews in the media over the years.

In the defense’s opening statement, Bobbi Sternheim said Ms. Maxwell had only met Ms. Farmer once in Santa Fe.

“You should ask yourself why she is even a part of this case. Because in our view, what happened in New Mexico is not illegal conduct under the terms of this indictment,” Ms. Sternheim told the grand jury Monday.

Ms. Sternheim said Ms. Farmer received $1.5 million from the victim’s compensation fund.

Daniel Besselsen will return to the stands on day four of the trial.

The chief financial officer at Interlochen Center for the Arts, the nonprofit behind the summer camp where witness “Jane” said she first met Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein will give evidence on Thursday.

Mr. Besselsen provided records including letters from donors confirming Epstein and Maxwell’s ties to the camp. Among these was a sender to Maxwell stating that a motel had been used by Epstein in August 1994.

It is thought that this is where the couple met Jane.

Epstein sponsored a two-bedroom motel, called the Jeffrey Epstein Fellowship Lodge, at Interlochen in northern Michigan, where parents, donors, and other guests could stay.

The name of the lodge has now been changed to Green Lake Lodge.

Maxwell’s ‘little black book’ could be key evidence in the trial

Legal experts say Ghislaine Maxwell’s so-called “small black book” could be a key piece of evidence in the trial.

Based on TIME, The address book, known as Government Presentation 52, has long been an object of interest in the case. Indeed, Maxwell and Epstein had connections to many famous and influential people during the 1990s and early 2000s.

In 2015, Gawker published a copy of its content, which features the names of world leaders, famous performers and business giants such as Donald Trump, Courtney Love and former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak.

If the book is admitted as evidence, its role in the trial could be “important,” said Jessica Roth, a Cardozo Law professor and former federal prosecutor.

“[Much of] this case will increase the credibility of the victims, who will testify to the role they allege Maxwell played in [alleged] abuse,” “report” TIME.

However, those wanting to know if those names appear in Maxwell’s trial through the alleged address book will likely be disappointed.

NS Related press report that the judge will only consider admitting the section under the heading “massage” as evidence. This is because it is said to contain the names of the victims.

Alleged victim Maxwell refused to suggest that she might cry on request

An alleged victim of Ghislaine Maxwell, who goes by the name “Jane”, was questioned about whether she could cry on demand when she was an actress.

The witness failed in federal court in the Southern District of New York on Wednesday when she revealed that she wished the case would “finish and I can get on with my life.”

She denied the suggestion that she could cry on demand, saying, “No, not always. That doesn’t always work.”

While cross-checking “Jane,” defense attorney Laura Menninger asked, “Are you an actor who plays fictional characters for a living?”

“You’re an actor who convincingly plays other people for a living.”

“You’ve been an actor for a very long time.”

“You can cry on command.”

“No, not always. That doesn’t always work.”

“But it’s the job you’ve been training for a long time.”
