Garage, attic fire damaged Wake Forest Home

WAKE FOREST, NC (WNCN) – A home in Wake Forest was badly damaged in a fire Sunday morning.

The fire broke out around 10:30 a.m. at a two-story home on the 1200 block of Cantlemere Street in Richland Hills, according to a press release from the Wake Forest Fire Department.

Firefighters arrived and found a fire was going on in the garage. According to officials, the flames reached the attic.

“Crews simultaneously commissioned two lines, one in the garage and one for the attic fire,” the press release said.

Firefighters also searched the home for people inside.

The fire was “quickly brought under control” and no one was injured, the press release said.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
