Game of Thrones Sequel Series Confirmed by Emilia Clarke, George RR Martin

Emilia Clarke and author George RR Martin just spilled the rumors about the ‘Game of Thrones’ sequel series.
In an interview with the BBC, the former Mother of Dragons confirmed that Kit Harington will reprise his role as Jon Snow in a spin-off centered around the fan-favorite fantasy hero, the Hollywood Reporter previously reported.
“He told me about it. And I know it exists,” Clarke told the BBC. “It happens.”
Realizing that she might have said too much, she continued, “From what I understand, it was created by Kit, so he’s in it from the ground up. So hopefully what you’re going to see is certified by Kit Harington.”
However, Game of Thrones creator Martin also confirmed the planning stages of the program on his blog Thursday.
“Yes, there is a Jon Snow show in development,” he wrote, adding that the working title for the program is simply “SNOW” and that it was Harington who pitched the idea to Martin and co. However, HBO has not officially announced whether the project has been given the green light.
The Post has reached out to Harington’s rep for comment.
But will Clarke herself – aka Daenerys Targaryen – appear on the Snow show?
“No, I think I’m done,” she replied, laughing.
The original Game of Thornes show ended with Snow discovering he was a potential heir to the Iron Throne, prompting the brooding villain to leave Westeros and venture north of the Wall with Ghost and the wildlings to chart a new path .

Insiders to the Hollywood Reporter claimed the series in development is “bold from a creative standpoint” as the project is “turned on its head.” HBO’s final season of Game of Thrones as the “final word” on the fate of the surviving characters in the most-watched, most-Emmy-winning series of all time.
And while details on the yet-to-be-named spin-off are still being worked out, given that it will be set after the Game of Thrones finale, it’s likely that other surviving main characters – like his half-siblings Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) and Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) and Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) could appear, according to the industry journal.
