Galveston Traffic: Southbound lanes closed on I-45 at Tiki Island after a car crash

Houston TranStar confirmed the incident at 7:37 p.m. off I-45 on Tiki Island.

According to Galveston County Sheriff Henry Trochesset, an SUV on Tiki Island swerved when struck by another car, causing the SUV to overturn.

Trochesset said a man and woman were ejected from the SUV and taken to a nearby hospital. A 3-year-old was in the overturned SUV and is now safe with relatives.
