‘Full House’ star Jodie Sweetin was pushed by the LAPD during a pro-choice protest

Actress Jodie Sweetin was pushed to the ground by Los Angeles police officers during a pro-choice protest in the city on Saturday, video shows.

The 40-year-old “Full House” star was speaking into a megaphone at the side of a freeway during a protest against the recent Supreme Court ruling when several officers pushed her and threw her to the ground, footage posted to Instagram shows.

“What the hell is wrong with you guys?” A protester is heard saying in response to officers.

Sweetin stood up, put her baseball cap back on, and quickly joined in a “No Justice, No Peace” chant, as the video shows.

The actress, who played Stephanie Tanner in the ABC comedy, was trying to lead a group of peaceful protesters off the freeway when she was thrown to the ground. says the freelance photojournalist Michael Ade who captured the footage.

Another video posted by Ade shortly before shows officers pushing back other protesters with batons.

The LAPD said it was investigating the officers’ use of force depicted in the videos.

“The LAPD is aware of a video clip of a woman being pushed to the ground by officers who do not allow the group to walk and overtake the 101 freeway,” the LAPD said in a statement to People. “Force used will be evaluated against LAPD policies and procedures.”

The ministry said it will continue to respect citizens’ First Amendment right to protest while protecting life and property.

Thousands have taken to the streets across the country to protest Friday’s SCOTUS ruling that overthrew Roe V. Wade and reversed nearly 50 years of federal abortion protections.

The 6-to-3 ruling leaves it up to individual states to pass laws for or against abortion. Several states have already banned abortion outright, and more are expected to do so in the coming days.
