Fresh & Fit claim they were the victim of a “targeted attack” following the ban on hate speech on YouTube

The hosts of the Fresh & Fit podcast say they have been the victim of a “targeted attack” and “mass reporting” after receiving a week-long ban from YouTube for “hate speech”.

The Fresh & Fit Podcast is back on YouTube after being banned from the video sharing platform for seven days.

Fresh & Fit is made up of influencer duo Walter Weekes and Myron Gaines, with a mission to “help men navigate women, finance and fitness.”

Her podcast has become a subject of controversy in the past due to comments from Weekes and Gaines — most notably during her viral conversation with Instagram model Brittany Renner earlier this year.

The Fresh & Fit podcast was banned from YouTube for a week in late March, leaving viewers confused as they waited for more content from the channel, which typically uploads multiple videos a day.

Seven days later, the duo returned with a livestream to explain why they’d suddenly gone on hiatus. Weekes and Gaines say they were banned from two older videos because of “hate speech.”

The hosts also claimed their channel was the victim of a “targeted attack” by an unnamed YouTuber, alluding to possible “mass reporting” by the YouTuber’s fandom.

Fresh & Fit came under fire earlier this year, primarily for comments made during a conversation with Instagram model Brittany Renner on DJ Akademik’s podcast.

“We were reported for hate speech,” Gaines explained.

“By another YouTuber,” Weekes added.

“We won’t go into too much detail but I’m just saying that two damn old videos were tagged and the way they were tagged indicated a mass report which is quite obviously a targeted attack acted,” Gaines continued.

“It was ‘hate speech’ from two old-fashioned videos, and that’s what made me say ‘hmm.’ When we looked at it a little more closely… we pretty much determined it was a targeted attack, folks.”

Despite her unexpected ban, the hosts say their channel has had around 15,000 subscribers during the seven-day lockdown.

This latest ban comes on the heels of another major ban for twitch streamer “ExoHydraX”, whose channel has recently been restored after being banned for a whirlpool stream eight months ago.
