French interior minister travels to Corsica for talks after violent protests

PARIS (Reuters) – French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin said on Monday he would travel to Corsica later this week and hold talks with elected local officials after violent protests erupted over the weekend.
Peace must be restored immediately, the minister said in a statement.
