Fox anchor Chris Wallace leaves net for ‘new adventure’

WASHINGTON (AP) – Fox News veteran host Chris Wallace Sunday said he was leaving the network after 18 years and was “ready for a new adventure”.
Wallace made the announcement at the end of the weekly news program he moderated, “Fox News Sunday.”
“After 18 years, this is my last ‘Fox News Sunday’. It was the last time, and I say this with real sadness, that we will meet like this. Eighteen years ago, the owners here at Fox promised they would never interfere with a guest I booked or a question I asked. And they kept that promise.”
Wallace said he has been “free to report to the best of my ability, to bring forth the stories that I think are important, to hold the leaders of our country accountable. It was a great trip. ”
He said he was leaving after 18 years at the network because “I wanted to try something new, beyond politics to all things I was interested in. I was ready for an adventure. new save and I hope you’ll check it out.”
Wallace did not give any details about that “adventure”.
