LEE COUNTY, Fla. – An 18-year-old from Palm City is driving change in the world of football.
Frank Ruggeri filed a petition nearly three years ago to move the Super Bowl to Saturday. It currently has more than 120,000 signatures.
“I am an agent of change,” says Ruggeri.
He said if the game were moved to Saturday, more people would watch and not have to worry about Monday blues.
That’s a hard idea for some people in Southwest Florida.
“I can’t think of another day when there’s going to be a Super Bowl, especially with the NFL having Sunday,” said David Cobian of Fort Myers.
“Okay, it’s Sunday. Everyone is excited on Sunday when it comes to the Super Bowl,” said Miguel from Fort Myers.
Ruggeri says his next step is to do petition for Roger Goodell himself.
