Florida man nearly falls off Disney Skyliner platform after drinking beer: report

A Florida man has reportedly been arrested after authorities said he caused a disturbance at the Food and Wine Festival at Walt Disney World’s Epcot Park.

According to FOX 35, park security and a deputy said Chase Holderby, of Merritt Island, Fla., was very loud and stumbled around the American Adventure Pavilion after witnesses said he downed two beers in about 30 seconds.

A deputy wrote in an arrest report that the 30-year-old shook hands with everyone in line, high-fived and staggered.

Shortly thereafter, Holderby was involved in a verbal argument with members of his party near the Japan Pavilion.

When Holderby arrived at the Morocco Pavilion, security told him to leave.

“We followed Holderby to the International Gateway exit while he removed his shirt and continued asking what he did wrong,” the report said.

As he headed for the Disney Skyliner gondolas, Holderby kept shouting.

“Once he was in the queue, he continued to behave aggressively, causing the crowd of people in line to be alerted,” the deputy said. “When he tried to get him into the physical gondola, he initially didn’t want to get in and was dangerously close to falling into the area under which the attraction operates.”

Holderby was charged with trespassing and disorderly poisoning.

Park officials said they stopped the transportation system for its safety and “harassed and delayed all other drivers.”

After several warnings, an MP said Holderby had been arrested on charges of trespassing and unlawful poisoning.

Holderby is married and has two children.
