Florida House of Representatives prepares to vote on controversial abortion bill
TALLAHASSEE
Florida lawmakers are expected to make a decision on the controversial abortion bill.
The bill they are voting on is House Bill 5. If it passes, abortion will be banned after 15 weeks, with no exceptions for rape or incest.
If it passes the house, then it goes to the Senate to vote.
Governor Ron DeSantis has signaled his support for the bill, which, if passed by both the House and Senate, would go into effect the first July.
