Five people were shot dead in bloodshed overnight in New York: police officers

Three men were shot dead in an incident in Manhattan on Sunday morning and two others were shot dead in the Bronx and Brooklyn, police officers said.
The bullets flew into 112th Street and Lexington Avenue in Harlem around 2 a.m., leaving a 30-year-old shot in the right foot, a 29-year-old in the right shoulder and left leg, and a 26-year-old in the right arm, said the police.
The older man was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan and the two younger men were taken to St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital. All should survive, the police said.
They were all uncooperative, police said.
Gunfire erupted around 4:30 a.m. on Franklin Avenue and Carroll Street in Brooklyn, with a 22-year-old man being shot multiple times, police officers said. He was taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition.

Bullets flew around 5 a.m. in the Bronx when a 49-year-old man was once shot in the neck, police officers said.




He was struck by gunfire outside 1332 Commerce Avenue and told police he heard gunshots and felt pain, police said. Several bullet casings were found at the scene.
