First Lady Jill Biden and US Interior Secretary visit Oklahoma to highlight preservation of Cherokee language

TAHLEQUAH, Okla. (KFOR) – First Lady Jill Biden and US Interior Secretary Deb Haaland will visit Oklahoma on Friday.
Biden will also go to Philadelphia, Pa. And Tahlequah, Okla., on Friday, December 3, according to a White House news adviser.
The First Lady and Haaland will visit the Cherokee National Cherokee Vocational School to highlight the importance of preserving mother tongues, according to the White House.
They will be traveling to Philadelphia to urge parents and guardians to immunize children 5-11 years old against COVID-19 and encourage families to get booster shots.
White House officials said additional details were forthcoming.
