First forecast on January 17

We should see another dry start to the week on the Western Slope. There will be clearer skies to start the day, meaning morning lows are on the cold side with Glenwood Springs and Gunnison with actual temperatures close to zero. The wind will be mild during the day, so the chill of the wind can be controlled. Peak temperatures will warm up into the 40s over much of the Western Slope, and more cloudy skies will begin to move in the afternoon hours. Cloud cover will continue to increase as we move through the overnight hours, making the morning lows much warmer tomorrow. A cold front will move through the range ahead tomorrow, but the West Slope will continue to be dry for the most part with a shower or two possible over the peaks. Dry weather will continue through Thursday and Friday with increased rainfall in the area.
