April Fool’s Day is just a day away, so it’s hard to believe what you’re seeing across the internet, especially Krispy Kreme’s announcement of bringing Pumpkin Spice Donuts back to the menu in 2023.
After Krispy Kreme’s free green donuts for St. Patrick’s Day, many are hoping the restaurant won’t joke about the iconic dish, even when the occasion calls for it.
However, the majority of them are skeptical at the same time!
Krispy Kreme posted a picture of the Original Pumpkin Spice Glazed donuts to its official Instagram handle a few hours ago today, with the caption, “Soooo… Pumpkin Spice Original Glazed.” kidding no kidding 4/1 & 4/2.”
It was brought back in August last year along with a few other items like the Pumpkin Spice Filled Cheesecake Donut and the Pumpkin Spice Pie Donut.
As much as one would like to believe that the menu item’s return in April 2023 is plausible, the dates that Krispy Kreme claims to be selling them have left many skeptical.
At the time of writing, no further details regarding price or availability have been provided by the restaurant. If you’re still in doubt, we recommend checking with your local store to see if the legendary donut is really available on April 1st.
Fans are convinced it’s an April Fool’s joke
Perhaps people would be convinced the deal was legit if it weren’t accompanied by the confusing caption.
But most don’t want to get their hopes up too high, especially on a day when the odds of being fooled are sky-high.
One wrote: “It’s better true or stop playing with my heart.”
“I still don’t believe you! Prove you make Pumpkin Spice Glazed Krispy Kreme Donuts!” said another.
A third person wrote, “It’s not fall yet so I refuse to believe this isn’t a prank.”
“This is an April Fool’s joke for sure,” tweeted another.
Try minis from the spring menu
Only time will tell if the Pumpkin Spice Donuts will be available for two days at Krispy Kreme like the restaurant claims, but there are more things on the spring menu to try.
The donut shop has introduced minis to celebrate spring.
The limited edition box contains a mini jumping bunny, a mini diving duck, a mini daffodil and a mini chocolate ice cream with spring sprinkles.
The special spring donuts are available in all participating restaurants until April 9th.
