OAKLAND, Calif. (Reuters) – Facebook Inc CEO David Marcus said on Tuesday he will leave the company at the end of the year to start a new job.

Marcus oversaw Facebook’s efforts to develop a digital currency and wallet, and his departure adds challenges to the unit.
