Fabrizio Romano claims Schmadtke has just made a ‘surprise’ offer from Liverpool for the midfield trooper.

Liverpool have made a surprise move, signing Stuttgart midfielder Wataru Endo, while Jörg Schmadtke is pushing for a deal.
Stuttgart midfielder Wataru Endo could be a new addition to Liverpool midfield as an ‘official offer’ has now been submitted.
This is acc Fabrizio Romanowho claims that Liverpool have now made an official offer to sign Endo on a permanent basis.
It is said that talks are ongoing with Stuttgart and that Endo wants the move to Anfield.
The Japan international understands this is simply “the greatest opportunity” of his career to date.
Romano describes the move as “surprising” but it is Liverpool sporting director Jörg Schmadtke who is making the move.
After many years at Wolfsburg, Schmadtke recently became interim sports director at Liverpool FC and will therefore certainly know Endo from his Bundesliga days.
Liverpool were desperate for reinforcements in midfield and Endo could now come into play as an option in front of the back four.

Who is Liverpool target Wataru Endo?
Endo joined the ranks of Japanese club Shonan Bellmare and made more than 150 appearances for the club before joining Urawa Red Diamonds in 2016.
Two years there but Endo was on the radar of European clubs, eventually joining Belgian club Sint-Truiden, who have long welcomed Japanese players like Arsenal defender Takehiro Tomiyasu.
Stuttgart were impressed and loaned him out for the 2019/20 season before making the move permanent.

Endo is the absolute heartbeat of the Stuttgart squad, making 133 appearances for the club and currently serving as the club’s captain.
The 30-year-old is known for his tireless performances in the center of the pitch. leading to former Stuttgart boss Pellegrino Matarazzo calling him a “soldier”..
Endo is a fighting force and commands a leadership role, just what Liverpool need.
Endo may not be a superstar but he is a solid performer and with Liverpool in dire need of options the Japan International could prove a valuable addition to the squad.
