‘Exquisite’: Michael Owen says no one can match this season what the Liverpool man has achieved today

Micheal Owen believes no one could deliver a better pass than Mohamed Salah after Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Jurgen Klopp’s side opened the scoring in the first half when Mohamed Salah played a “quite exquisite” ball across the box for Luis Diaz, as Michael Owen further described Premier League Productions (08/13/23 at 5:30 p.m.).

The 31-year-old may be known for his goals in Liverpool colors but one of the most underrated parts of his game is the passing game.

Last season many felt that Salah was not at his best and that he was struggling to perform for a Liverpool team that missed out on Champions League football.

Still, he finished the Premier League season with 19 goals and 12 assists, not forgetting his eight goals in the Champions League.

That just goes to show how high he’s set the bar for himself, as Owen was impressed with his last performance.

“It was a very good goal from back to front,” said Owen. “MacAllister plays the deeper role in that midfield.

“But it was his ball that was thrown to Mo Salah. A nice touch on Salah’s right foot and then he plays this very exquisite pass. That’s a perfect angle. You won’t see a better pass this season.”

Salah can challenge Haaland for the Golden Boot

Harry Kane is now a Bayern Munich player, Ivan Toney is suspended until January and Callum Wilson is fighting for a spot with Alexander Isak and Aleksandar Mitrovic could move to Saudi Arabia.

These are just some of the top scorers after Haaland’s record-breaking 2022-23 season. This begs the question: who will challenge him now?

Well, one man who can reach those high 30 numbers is Salah. While Kane is no longer in the building, treble winners Manchester City had better watch out for the Egyptian king.
