How to keep warm in bed in winter
With the frigid winter weather, it’s no surprise that many of us spend more time in bed to avoid the big cold.
UK-based Georgia Metcalfe, co-founder and creative director of French Bedroom Company came to the rescue and offered five tips to keep you appetizing during the cold months ahead.
According to sleep experts, the best temperature to help you doze off is around 18°C - and this can be achieved during the colder months by turning the comforter up.
She explains: “Choose a blanket that is at least 13 inches larger to retain as much heat as possible.
“It will allow you to stay in during the colder months and you will never want to leave your pot as it keeps you wonderfully cozy.”
“If you want an extra layer, put a velvet bedspread over your linens, or for something more luxurious, try cashmere.”
She goes on to note that it’s easy to feel groggy when the alarm goes off on a cold morning, but says you’ll feel more comfortable by changing up the material in your bed like changing pajamas to pajamas. silk and wear a soft pair. all because this will help you feel warmer, improving your sleep in the process.
