The momentum doesn’t let up in 2022 either, as CoD Mobile Season 3 is next to keep the handheld title fresh with new maps, weapons, modes, and of course, tons of cosmetics. While details are scarce at the moment, here’s an early look at everything we know about the next big update.
CoD mobile kicked off the new year with two massive seasonal updates packed with unique content. Of season 1 which gave us several weapons and even the first skins for content creators season 2 With one of the most comprehensive Battle Passes yet, there was enough to keep fans coming back.
Now Season 3 tries to keep the hype train on its tracks with another hefty content drop. As always, expect the usual array of maps and weapons, but again, there could always be a few surprises.
While it’s still early days, here’s a full breakdown of everything we know about CoD Mobile Season 3 so far.
CoD Mobile Season 3 currently has no release date. Although we can make an educated guess based on previous seasons along with the current Battle Pass.
The current Season 2: Task Force 141 Battle Pass is expected to disappear on Friday April 1st. Usually, new patches are applied immediately, making this a likely start date for the Season 3 update.
Note, however, that Battle Passes can be renewed at any time. We’ll definitely be updating you here once the CoD Mobile Season 3 release date is set.
Although the new Season 3 content has not yet been officially revealed, we can get a first glimpse of what to expect thanks to the files found in the latest test server build.
The Black Ops Cold War satellite map is one such piece of content that appeared in the test. While the vast majority of maps ported lately are from Modern Warfare, Season 3 could break that trend with this Treyarch theme.
A Cold War launch map, Satellite featured a medium-sized layout with verticality at its core. Teams controlling the high ground towards the center of the map often had the advantage.
Much like the release date, though, it’s worth taking that with a pinch of salt for now. We’ve seen previous test builds teasing content arriving months later, so there’s no guarantee Satellite is ready for Season 3 to launch. We’ll keep you posted as new details emerge.
Our last tidbit from the latest CoD Mobile Test Server build hinted that Ground War is on its way to becoming a handheld title. This big team playlist features 12v12 matches across the game’s larger maps.
In addition, players seem to have access to vehicles in these large-scale battles. Motorcycles, assault vehicles, and even tanks have all been mentioned in the files.
The new map “Satellite” will appear together with the mode “Ground War 12v12” in the next beta test.
