Everything everywhere at once broke A24’s US box office record.

As of Saturday (May 21), the film surpassed $52.26 million (£41.8 million) at the US box office, the sum earned by production company A24’s previous record holder Unpolished gems.

In conversation with The IndependentYeoh, 59, said she’s waited her entire career to finally land a starring role.
“I’ve been waiting for this for a long time, and luckily it has come,” she said. “Some people wait their whole lives and the opportunity may never come. i was patient I was resilient. I never stopped learning. And so, when the opportunity presented itself, I was ready.”
Everything everywhere at once is in cinemas now.
