Euro 2028 will be played in the UK and Ireland, with Uefa set to confirm the tournament on April 7th

EURO 2028 will be hosted by Great Britain and Ireland, Uefa announced on April 7th.
No competing bidder had come forward before Wednesday’s deadline and barring last-minute submissions, the British Isles’ joint proposal will win.
Matches are played England, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland – provided government guarantees are received by a deadline later this year.
Uefa will reopen the bidding process if they don’t, but no problems are expected.

Italy is also expected to confirm its intention to bid to host Euro 2032.
A British and Irish bid to host the 2030 World Cup was dropped in January in favor of a Euro 2028 challenge.
