Euphoria fans devastated by shock character’s death in final season two: ‘This moment will haunt me for a long time’

The death of a main character in the season two finale of Happinesswhich aired Sunday (February 27) on HBO Max, disappointed fans.

The final episode sees the aftermath of Lexi’s game, and also reveals why Fezco was unable to participate after the previous episode’s case.

In a tense scene at the beginning of the episode, the FBI informant Custer tries to get Fez to confess to murdering drug lord Mouse while hunting him.

However, Fez wisely carried out Custer’s intentions thanks to Faye, who pretended to break a glass so she could take him away. However, before Fez could intervene, Ashtray rushed in and slashed Custer’s throat.

Although Fez insisted he would be responsible for Custer’s murder, Ashtray barricaded himself in the bathroom with guns and ammunition, when police barged in. Despite Fez shouting, “he’s just a kid”, he was helpless as the two sides exchanged words. .

After a dramatic shootout, Ashtray is shot dead in front of a desolate Fez.

“This moment between Ash and Fez will haunt me for a long time,” one fan wrote.

Some even created memes in memory of Ashtray’s character.

Other fans channeled their anger at the storytelling, believing the two beloved characters deserved a better storyline.

“Ashtray and Fez deserve much BETTER,” another added.

Many seem particularly affected by the final look on the Ashtray’s face, as he realizes he is about to die and the look of childish fear evident on his face.

“We can give a standing ovation and a round of applause for Javon Walton, the actor who played Ashtray on Happiness,” someone else wrote.

“I don’t remember him saying a word in the finale. He perfectly portrayed that character over the course of two seasons with limited dialogue.”

After the episode, “RIP Ashtray” went viral on social media.

Happiness has been renewed for seasons four and five and can be streamed on HBO Max.
