Erie County executive candidates Poloncarz and Casilio debate at News 4

BUFFALO, NY (WIVB) – News 4 will host a debate between candidates running for Erie County Executive two weeks before Election Day.

Incumbent Mark Poloncarz, a Democrat, will face Republican challenger Chrissy Casilio on Tuesday, October 24 at 7 p.m. The debate will be moderated by News 4 presenters Dave Greber and Chris Horvatits and will be broadcast live on CW23 (WNLO-TV).

Erie County Executive is the biggest race up for grabs in western New York this November. Poloncarz has served in this role since 2012, having previously served as Erie County Comptroller for six years. A first-time candidate for public office, Casilio describes herself as a small business owner, working mother, and community leader.

Election day is Tuesday November 7th. Early voting begins on October 28, the Saturday after the debate.
