Elon Musk said Netflix is ​​losing subscribers because its programming has been infected with the “Wake Mind Virus” that has rendered the streaming service “invisible.”

Tesla’s billionaire boss reacted to Netflix’s share price decline in premarket trading on Wednesday, after the California-based company said it lost 200,000 subscribers between January and March this year.

The company expects to lose another 2 million subscribers by the end of the second quarter.

Musk didn’t specify what content was “woken up” on Netflix, although the company has been criticized for programming that some saw as provocative.

Netflix’s 26% plunge after Tuesday’s bell wiped out about $40 billion of its market value. The company has lost nearly half its value since it warned of weak subscriber growth in January.

The company said inflation, the war in Ukraine and stiff competition between streaming services are causing its customer base to erode.
