EDMOND, Okla. (KFOR) – Edmond Public Schools released a statement saying that some schools will be virtualized due to staffing issues related to COVID-19.
The district is moving some schools to virtual learning for Tuesday and Wednesday. This includes the entire Heartland Middle School, while other schools are moving grade-specific levels. Children are only available to Northern Hills Elementary School, First Grade, Orvis Risner Elementary School, Ida Freeman Kindergarten, and Fifth Grade.
The district hopes that in-person learning can resume on Thursday, however, EPS advises parents to maintain backup plans for the remainder of the week.
The district said it will update parents as soon as possible.
