Edison Festival of Light Grand Parade route and road closed

FORT MYERS

Dubbed the largest night parade in the Southeast year after year, the Grand Parade is a two-hour parade featuring national participants and local marching bands. Locals, floaters, local government and law enforcement officials, clowns and more.

The parade brings the entire Southwest Florida community out to celebrate the lives and accomplishments of our local winter resident, Thomas Edison. Spectators from near and far come to enjoy the event and often begin marking their viewing locations weeks in advance.

The Grand Parade will take place Saturday from 7 to 10 p.m. at Fort Myers. The parade route will begin at Fort Myers High School’s stadium and continue down US-41, down Main Street, and through downtown.

The parade will include more than 30 floats.

Although the event is free to spectators, there are two ticketing options available to attendees.

The first ticketing option is done by local nonprofit groups through the Reserved Seating Festival (“Street Chairs”), and the second ticketing option is VIP tickets sold online and at the office. Edison Light Festival room (food and beverage included).
