Ed Sheeran announces news of second baby daughter with Cherry Seaborn

Ed Sheeran has confirmed that his wife, Cherry Seaborn, has given birth to their second daughter.

The Suffolk singer-songwriter, 31, said they were “over the moon” to be a family of four and announced the news on Instagram.

Posting a picture of baby socks, Sheeran added, “I want to let you all know that we have welcomed another beautiful baby girl.

“We’re both so in love with her.”

The couple welcomed their first daughter, Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran, in August 2020.

Although Sheeran has been in the spotlight for his music, he has remained private about his relationship with Seaborn.

In 2018 he announced the couple was engaged and in 2019 he confirmed they were husband and wife but didn’t share any further details.

Last year, the singer opened up about fatherhood and the story behind his daughter’s unusual name, Lyra Antarctica.

“Cherry and I have always wanted to go to Antarctica, it was always on our list,” he explained.

“It’s the only continent I haven’t visited yet… So we went there and it’s just an amazing place, it’s very special to us and obviously like we came home and Cherry was pregnant. Yes, it was just something we wanted on her behalf.”
