EASTENDERS has confirmed Jean Slater’s mental crisis.
The cleaning lady, played by actress Gillian Wright in the BBC soap, has been spiraling out of control for weeks.
And tonight her daughter Stacey told Jean’s friend Harvey the truth.
She told him all about how Jean’s bipolarity means she’ll be on top of the world for a while, with no inhibitions or limits.
And she warned him EastEnders darling Jean is headed for a big crash.
Stacey was adamant that her mother needed professional help and thought she had reached out to Harvey and he would take care of Jean.
But it was all for nothing. At the end of the episode, Stacey catches Jean and Harvey driving off on their last minute holiday to Dorset.
Harvey hadn’t listened to Stacey at all and she was devastated.
She turned to Eve and told her there was only one way it would end – not good.
Fans fear for Jean – although many applauded the performances.
One wrote: “So sad to see Jean go downhill and I feel so much for Stacey.
“Jean’s interaction with Stacey is such a repeat when she first joined #EastEnders, it’s going to be a tough time lads.”
Another said: “Well done Stacey for saying that to Jean. Must have been tough. But it is the only way!”
