Burns are clean with the first ball of The Ashes and his luck has barely improved since then.

His points 0, 13, 4, 34 and outlandish technique have been mocked by many experts.

He also beat David Warner in the Brisbane First Test by passing up an easy opportunity.

Britain considers exclusion Haseeb Hameed instead of Burns, 31.

But the tour management chose to keep Hameed because he is seven years younger.

After scoring 267 goals against Pakistan at Southampton in 2020, Crawley has only averaged 11 in this year’s Test cricket.

But he’s made some technical changes designed to kick the bait-eating habit.

And he looked more assured than most in England’s nets.

Pope scored 35 points in the first inning of the series but has scored 4, 5 and 4 since.

His batting was also becoming increasingly frenetic and agitated.

Bairstow’s performances in the Diving Cricket Test have been in recent years but he has scored a century ahead of that Ash travel in 2017-18.

He is supposed to be preferred in 6th place over the less experienced Dan Lawrence.

Australia coach Justin Langer has suggested Mitchell Starc will quickly play the Third Ashes Test but Josh Hazlewood will once again be absent with a minor injury.

Starc, 31, has bowled over 75 passes in the series and felt a little sore in his back the last time.

Captain Pat Cummins will return to Melbourne and Victoria’s Scott Boland has been added.
