A DUBLIN man was shocked after paying a hefty sum of SEVEN euros for a breakfast roll.
The picture of the roll shows the sandwich, which has 9 fillings, totaling exactly 7.10€ – and everyone split.
The tweet has been liked thousands of times and sparked a huge debate on Ireland’s Twitter, with many joking that “the boom is back”.
The Twitter user posted a photo of the roll and said: “Screaming and screaming.”
He explained that it wasn’t nine separate fillings he got in the reels, but nine items; two sausages, two razors, two puddings, two eggs and hash browns.
‘STANDARD STANDARD’ BREAKFAST ROLLER
He added that this is “pretty standard” for a breakfast roll.
Twitter users seem to be divided on the price but many have called the price “crazy”.
One said: “For breakfast? I said I don’t want it and walked out.”
Another joked: “7.10€ for a breakfast? Did they make all the sausages and puddings in front of you while an orchestra performed?
“Jaysus cried. First they came for beer, now this one. I’m going to need a loan at this rate.”
Another social media asked: “What’s in it? Caviar?? Totally scandalous.”
Others defended the price, and one Twitter user said: “He’s after enjoying a hearty breakfast roll and wonders why it’s so expensive.”
Another added: “But 9 fillings, it’s practically a slaughterhouse.”
‘THIS IS NOT A WOMEN’S PROBLEM’
Another user protested against the price defenders, saying: “Any Irishman trying to justify this price is insane.
“All of the answers were breakfast rolls. Two pieces of rice paper are part of the filling. This is not an issue.
“The profit they are making selling this for €7+ is insane.”
