Drummer for rock band Tool was arrested at the airport

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WDAF) – A trip home to celebrate college basketball competition ends with a trip to the Kansas City police station for the replacement band’s drummer Tool.
Daniel Carey was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of assault for allegedly engaging in an altercation with another man in a terminal at Kansas City International Airport.
Airport police were called to the terminal around 7pm on Sunday. Carey was taken to the police station after the argument. The other man has not been detained, according to KCI Airport spokesman Joe McBride.
Carey was no longer in custody as of Monday afternoon.
The report was forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for review and to determine if Carey has been charged.
Carey is from Kansas and played with KU Basketball’s Pep Band at the college Missouri vs. Kansas on Saturday.
